Summer Series – Round 1

The entry for Round 1 of the Summer Series being held this Saturday, May 2nd  at Oakridge Copse, Alderbury is almost full , with less than 10 places available . (28th April)

 Start time is 11.00am.

This event is ideal for new members and for those wishing to ride up a class, with the sections being a little less challenging than the Club Championship.

You can also ride “Unclassified” if a beginner for “real event practice”.

Note: There is no catering Van at this Trial. 

Andy has had a fall and is out of action for a week. 

Rember to bring along some lunch and a drink.

The St Paul Trophy

The St Paul Trophy Trial is being held at Hut Hill on Sunday 17th May, with all proceeds from this Trial being donated to the ACU Ben Fund.

The top award, the prestigious St Paul Trophy, is presented to the best Expert rider, subject to a minimum class entry of five, if less than five riders  a Clubman rider will take the award.

This Southern Centre Trophy has been presented since 1953, and is engraved with some impressive names, including a certain Mr Miller to name just one.

As with all Trials, offers to observe are appreciated in advance, but for this Trial we ask for volunteers so as to boost the fund, but the Club will provide a £10.00 lunch voucher for all helpers.

New Forest Off Road

Who remembers popping into Chandler & Wright’s shop to pick up accessories on a Saturday? Happy days. It was just as much about the social visit as the actual purchase.

That was a few years ago, but we now have a new local retailer, New Forest Off Road in Lyndhurst, who have set up in business to look after the local “off-road community”. 

When you next need accessories, oil or clothing don’t go on-line,  pop in to see Adam or Reece or give them a call on 023 8180 1845. If you do pop in try their in store coffee shop.

If you quote your Waltham Chase Rider Number you will benefit from a 10% discount on clothing and accessories.

You may even buy a new bike when you are there.

We all moan about shops closing; Let’s all do our little bit to make this one a success.
