A Few Quickies
Rider Numbers: If you are a Waltham Chase member, please remember to add your rider number to your Sport80 entry in the “Event Specific Information Box” – If you don’t someone else has to do it!
If you do not know your Rider Number, please request by email. walthamchasetrials@outlook.com
Number Cards: If you are a Waltham Chase member you should have and display a printed number card on your bike.
I observed last Sunday and struggled to read some rider numbers. If you need a number Card Printing, please request by email from sallygarland@sky.com.
The card will be available at the next Trial. No excuses!
Final Instructions
We email the Final Instructions for all Trials to your registered email address and also upload to the front page of the Club Website. Can you have a read? Last Sunday we had a few issues at the start of the Trial, where riders were not aware of what to do.
If you are a new member, it is worth checking your “Junk Mail”.
In summary, go to “Entry to Course” at the designate time and wait for the Marshall to tell you which section to go to.
Despite the problems, over 90 riders completed 12 sections within 4 hours – not bad going.
A&B Route Rider Assistance
And finally, for today; we need a little help, we have a very willing team of COC’s and helpers who give up their Saturdays to mark out our Trials – it’s not the “Flag Fairy” who goes into the woods overnight planting them for our riders!
We do not always get it right; We would appreciate a little help from an A or B route rider to come along and help occasionally. Please talk to any of our COC’s if you can help.
Alternatively, a walk around early in the morning with the COC to have a look at the sections could be a plan.
We want the sections to be right for our members – not too easy and not too hard or dangerous.
Regards,
Mike Wiseman
