Club Easy Trial
The Next Waltham Chase MCC event is an “Easy Trial” being held at Grimstead Rd, Alderbury on Saturday 20th April.
Post code SP5 3RQ gets you close to the venue and then look out for the “Orange Arrows”.
The entrance can be easily missed so do drive slowly when you get close to the venue.
If you are coming from the A36 via Alderbury look out for the “Orange Arrows” when you reach a fork in the road and start to slow down. The venue is just after the fork in the road. A sharp turn on the right.
The gates are open from 11.30, with the Trial starting at 1.00
The C, D and E sections will be suitable for newcomers and those wanting a little “practice” - Nothing too challenging. There will also be a B route to test the more ambitious riders.
Experienced members are welcome to come along to observers and offer support to our newer members.
One-day Club Membership and ACU competition licence is available at a cost of £5.00 for non-members.
Please Note: There is no catering van at this Trial so do bring along some refreshments
May Bank Holiday Camping Weekend.
There is a bit of a change with the Camping Weekend plan.
We have had very little “Youth Only Trial” interest, but lots of requests from adults wanting to ride.
This is the new plan:
You can camp (Tents, Caravans and Campervans welcome) from Thursday through to Monday – see the Booking Form for full details
No riding on the Thursday – quiet activities, socialising or fishing!
Practice session on Friday from 4.00pm – 7.30pm
Easy Trial on Saturday starting at 1.00pm
Club Championship Trial on Sunday starting at 10.30
No riding on Monday – Quiet Activities or fishing. No drinking!
The fee for Practice Trial is £10.00.
Normal Entry Fees apply for the two other trials.
Day visitors are very welcome – no need to camp.
There will be a catering van on site from 11.00 on Saturday and from 8.00am on the Sunday.
Please support our caterers – they need to earn a crust to keep attending our events.
Halloween Party
We are holding a Halloween Party at the Roddington Forge on Saturday the 2nd November.
Full details will be circulated after we have sorted out Brexit.
Fancy Dress is not essential but being “Spooky Time” I think some scary costumes are already under way!
Format for the evening will be like the Awards Presentation, buffet, entertainment, rubbish raffle, but without some old guy prattling on for hours and no awards!
Save the date in your diary.
There is more to Trials than riding bikes!
Awards Presentation
Another date for your diary - the 2020 Awards Presentation is being held on Saturday the 8th February 2020 at the Roddington Forge.
Did I just write 2020…. whatever happened to the millennium and the computer bugs!
Full details will be posted later in the year.
All other Trials Dates are posted on the Club Web Site
