Waltham Chase Event Update – Venue Change
Round 8 Club Championship – The Turkey and Tinsel Trial
Sunday 8th December at Oakridge Copse, Grimstead Rd, Alderbury, (SP5 3RQ Gets you close – then look for Orange Arrows)
There are a few riders who can enhance their overall position at the top of the table in this, the final round of 2019 Club Championship.
Safe, seasonal fancy dress is welcome on the day and there will be a few Christmassy things going on including the infamous “Best dressed helmet” award.
Sue and Mo spend a lot of there weekends in the “Caravan” in the cold and rain and this is the trial where they do their own thing and go off Piste. I am going to treat them to a gallon of petrol for the generator as a little present to keep them warm and there may be a bottle of something opened on the day.
Directions: From the A36 at Whaddon take the West Grimstead Road. After about half a mile there is a fork in the road, keep right and start to slow down. The Copse entrance is 50 yards on right on the bend. Follow the Orange Arrows along track. When you go through gate park you can park on left and right and at the top of the central drive.
Gates are open from 8.30 for a 10.00 start.
There will be 10 long sections for the main route with 6 separate sections for the E Route.
Bring plenty of fuel - It’s a long ride around the woods.
Offers to observe are appreciated. We had ten at the last Trial, it made the day go so much better.
The venue is well worth a visit if you have not been there before – nice to have a different place to ride.
MEMBERSHIPS – If renewing your Club membership, please hand in your 2020 membership form when you sign-on and collect your membership card and magic numbers when you hand in your punch card at the end of the day.
AWARDS PRESENTATION – Tickets will be available to collect or purchase at this Trial.
ANNUAL AWARDS – Please return any you have from this year by the 31st December.
BURGER VAN – Please support the burger van – They are travelling a long way to look after us.
