The Waltham Chase Christmas Trial – Club Championship Round8
Round 8 of the Waltham Chase Club Championship is being held at Hut Hill on Sunday 15th December.
There are several groups where championship class winners will be decided on the last day of the series – good luck if you are chasing the trophies.
Entry is via the Link: https://acu.sport80.com/public/wizard/e/204222
Being the “Christmas Trial”, we try and get into the festive spirit with fancy dress for both riders and Observers.
Let’s see what you can come up with; Prizes for the best adult rider, youth rider and “observer.”
We need just four more Observers for this Trial. All offers of help appreciated with the usual £20.00 paid.
Debs “Food Truck” is confirmed.
Note: Due to parking restrictions the entry is limited to 80 riders.
The Dick Hoyles Shield
The entry for the “Dick Hoyles”, being held at Hut Hill on New Years Eve, is open via the Sport80 link: https://acu.sport80.com/public/wizard/e/204310
The usual stuff about the Catering Van being sorted, Observers required, entry capped at 80 etc will be published in December.
However, for this Trial the main entry will close on the morning of the 23rd December to enable the score sheets and programme to be printed before the Christmas shutdown.
If you enter after the 23rd, subject to places being available, you will be issued with a Rider Number on the day.
Charity Trial Update
It looks like a rusty old wheelbarrow got us over the £4k line!
Congratulations to all who made it happen, but especially to Steve and Maria who’s drive, and support saw a total of £4033.00 raised for Prostate Cancer UK.
It certainly raised awareness and I for one will get tested. I will lose a pound or two before I do, to save the doctors telling off!
Observers
Firstly, and in the words of that “Strictly” dancer – Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.
Without your support we would not have had such a great year. We have had every section observed at all 2024 Trials.
Moving forward, we plan to hold a training day early in 2025 for new Observers, but if you cannot wait for then why not buddy up with an experienced Observer and get some “on the job” training. We will treat you to lunch on the day.
Club Championships
The updated Club Championship and Summer Series “Championship Tables” are now uploaded to the Results Page of this Website. Results - Waltham Chase Motorcycle Trials Club
Awards Presentation
Save the date: Saturday 15th February 2025 at Otterbourne Village Hall – it is a better venue than it sounds! Details will be published in December, but make sure you have your dancing shoes sorted.
Perpetual Awards
It’s that time again! If you have a “Perpetual” Waltham Chase or ACU Southern Centre Trophy or Shield, can you please return it to any upcoming Hut Hill Trial – Thank you.
