The Waltham Chase MCC - Alan Sansom Memorial Trial

Sunday 28th July at Ham Lane, Langrish – This Weekend.

The “Grey Team” have spent a day at Ham Lane cutting out and planning the sections for Sunday.

It was a challenging day, with two strimmer’s written off!

The team have done a grand job and have cleared a route around the venue, planning for 12 sections, some new, some old favourites and some tweaked, which will be marked out on Saturday, to accommodate the pre booked riders, by a team of volunteer experienced riders.

(A benefit of Sport80 - we know who is riding in advance).

The conditions are currently perfect, and a little rain before the weekend will do no harm. Sunday is looking to be a good weather day.

If you have had a bad “Wet One” at Ham Lane, give it another chance on Sunday. We won’t be going back there this year.

Entry is online via the Sport80 link: https://acu.sport80.com/public/wizard/e/203581

Debs Food Truck will be on site serving breakfasts from 9.30 am.

Please note: This Trial not suitable for small wheeled “E Bikes.”

Repairs have now been made to the track leading to the venue making the access smaller vehicle friendly.

If you are joining us on Sunday, you may well see some “highflyers.”

NOTE: If you do not have an ACU Licence you can still ride with us “Day Licences” are available at a charge of £5.00., but you must book your place by email walthamchasetrials@outlook.com in advance, no later than 8.00pm on Friday (Pay at Sign-On) confirming:

DNF Reporting

We advised last month that we were going to report scores for the sections completed by DNF riders.

We have failed! It is not workable in the way re report scores by section; if for instance a rider retired after two laps the scores reported would not be (or may not be) a true record of the section visit scores. We will have another think about this for the future.
